A Sample Story

The Chinese Bamboo Tree

A farmer plants a Chinese bamboo seed. He waters it daily. Year one, nothing breaks the soil. Year two, nothing. Year three, year four — still nothing visible. But in the fifth year, the bamboo bursts forth and grows ninety feet in just six weeks.

A Reflection

Recovery is rarely linear, and progress often happens beneath the surface long before it shows. Trust the process even when you cannot yet see results.

For Your Journal

What invisible roots have you grown over this past year, even if no one (including you) has seen them yet?

A few honest words: This journal is not therapy. It is not a substitute for medication, for a doctor, for a therapist, or for the love of people who know your name. It is a small companion for the moments in between.

Today's Reflection
