A Thirty-Day Reflection Journal
on
for the days when the mind will not rest
Volume 01 of 12
Thirty short stories on anxiety, drawn from Buddhist parables, Stoic letters, Cherokee teachings, Sufi tales, Hebrew wisdom, and modern psychology. Each one is paired with a small educational reflection and a question to write about. There is no right way to use it. You might read one page each morning with coffee, or one each evening before sleep. Anxiety lies. It tells you the danger is here when often the danger is only imagined. These stories will not silence the mind, but they may, slowly, teach you a different relationship with it.

A Sample Story
An old Buddhist tale tells of a monk pursued through the forest by a hungry tiger. Reaching the edge of a cliff, he climbs down a vine to escape. Below him paces another tiger. Above him, the first one waits. As he hangs there, two mice — one white, one black — begin to gnaw at the vine. Then the monk notices a wild strawberry growing from the cliff face. He picks it. He eats it. He says, simply: how sweet it tastes. The story is not about denial. It is about what we so often forget when fear has us — that this moment, even now, contains something real.
A Reflection
Anxiety pulls us into a future that has not happened. Returning to the present — the strawberry, the breath, the cup in your hand — is not avoidance. It is the only place where life is actually being lived.

A few honest words: This journal is not therapy. It is not a substitute for medication, for a doctor, for a therapist, or for the love of people who know your name. It is a small companion for the moments in between.
